Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 7, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Meadowroot website (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Meadowroot is a real estate solutions company based in Newton, North Carolina. We buy houses, discuss cash offers and other options with homeowners, and work with buyers in markets we serve. These website terms are not a purchase contract for any specific property.
Using the website
You may browse the Site and submit an inquiry for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it in a way that harms our operations, or submit false or misleading information.
Content on the Site — including copy, photos, logos, and layout — is owned by Meadowroot or used with permission. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written consent.
Offers and inquiries
Filling out a form is a request for information. It does not create a contract to buy or sell a home, and it does not obligate either of us to move forward.
- Any cash number or other option we discuss is an estimate until it is written into a signed purchase agreement (or other transaction documents) that both sides agree to.
- Closing dates, net proceeds, and what we can do with a particular property depend on title, liens, occupancy, condition, and other facts we learn after the first conversation.
- We are not a real estate brokerage listing service, a lender, a law firm, or a government agency. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. You should talk with your own professionals when those questions come up.
No fees from us to sell
When we buy a home from you under a signed agreement, we cover typical seller closing costs as described in that agreement. There are no agent commissions charged by us. The written contract controls if anything on the Site conflicts with it.
SMS program (A2P text messages)
Meadowroot operates an informational text-message program for people who request a cash offer or other real estate options on this Site.
- Program name: Meadowroot SMS alerts
- What you will receive: Informational messages about your inquiry, such as confirmation that we received your request, follow-up on a cash offer or other options, appointment or call reminders, and answers to questions you text us. We do not use this program for unrelated mass marketing blasts.
- How you opt in: By entering your mobile number on our website form and submitting it, you consent to receive these texts. You can also opt in by texting us or by asking us to text you.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies.
- Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to unsubscribe. You may also reply STOP ALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. You will receive a one-time confirmation, and we will then stop texting that number unless you opt in again.
- Help: Reply HELP for help, or use our contact form.
- Consent: Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving an offer. You can still use the Site or our contact form without opting in to texts.
- Eligibility: You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide. Supported on major U.S. carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We may send texts through our service providers acting on our behalf. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional use. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information, including SMS opt-in data.
Calls
If you submit your phone number, we may also call you about your inquiry. You can ask us to stop calling through our contact form.
Accuracy of information
We try to keep the Site accurate, but market conditions, statutes, and local processes change. Area pages, blog posts, and FAQs are general information, not a guarantee about your house, your county, or a specific outcome. If something on the Site is wrong, it does not create liability beyond what the law requires.
Third-party tools
The Site uses third-party services (for example, form processing, spam protection, maps, analytics, and advertising). Those services have their own terms. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meadowroot and its owners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability related to the Site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100). This limit does not apply to a signed real estate contract, which has its own terms, or to liability that cannot be limited under North Carolina law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the Site that is not resolved informally will be brought in state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless a signed transaction contract says otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
